Read Acts 26:1-32
Key Verse: Acts 26:29 “Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.” (NLT)
There is absolutely no doubt in Paul’s mind that there is nothing better than for a person to become a Christian and accept Jesus Christ. He was in a terrible situation, yet he does not complain about his circumstances. Instead he makes it very clear that he believes that the lifestyle he is living is the best anyone could ever hope to have. Although bound by chains, Paul makes no mistake in sharing the awesome freedom he has in Christ with those around him.
“If you desire to Act Out for God you need to realize that you also have an incredible freedom in Christ. The freedom that you have can not be taken away by chains or prison or even death. All to often we are quick to share our troubles and complaints with those around us when it would be so much better to celebrate the good things instead of the bad. Paul could have easily spent his time sulking over his problems and complaining about what he had gone through. Instead he is positive and rejoices in the freedom he has found in God. He even tells those around him that it is his prayer that they would all become like him in every way except for his chains.
As you interact with those around you be sure to share the freedom you have in God so that they might become free. Others will desire to have what you have if they can see that God is really making a difference in your life.
Prayer: “Lord, thank-you for saving me. Please help me to find opportunities to share my story with others.”
